Projects
Benincasa Community, Guilford, CT
The Benincasa Community had a vision of creating a homestead and ecological education center on their 6 acres land in Guilford, CT. Reimagined Roots helped in the planning and implementation of soil regeneration, rehabilitated grassland and meadow, erosion prevention, educational plant ID and cultivation, as well as vegetable garden planning!
Native lawn replacement on Frye Island, ME
After years of construction this lawn was compacted and sterile. With some careful mixing of locally sourced leaf compost, and a spring seeding with native seeds of ground covers that focus on building material, fixing nitrogen, and adding nutrients back to the soil, a new lawn was grown! The lush green space will continue to add beauty and biodiversity to this property.
Annual Container Plants on the Shoreline, Branford, CT
Living in an apartment, retirement community, or urban setting shouldn’t limit your ability to enjoy seasonal flowers, herbs, or vegetables. Container planting is a great way to interact with nature when you don’t have natural space to call your own. Above are sun and shade container plants for a resident of a retirement community who wanted to bring some color and life to their patio spaces!
Perennial garden in Branford, CT
A barren annual garden required consistent input of rocks and mulch, was replanted as a perennial garden. The new garden fills the space and receives lots of compliments from those who live in the condo complex!
